This tutorial was written with CorelX17 and translated with CorelX17, but it can also be made using other versions of PSP.
Since version PSP X4, Image>Mirror was replaced with Image>Flip Horizontal,
and Image>Flip with Image>Flip Vertical, there are some variables.
In versions X5 and X6, the functions have been improved by making available the Objects menu.
In the latest version X7 command Image>Mirror and Image>Flip returned, but with new differences.

You can change Blend Modes according to your colors.



Copy the texture Fronds in the Textures Folder.

Open the golden pattern in PSP and minimize it with the rest of the material.

1. Set your foreground color to Pattern,
select the golden pattern Goldpattern-ca, with these settings



Set your background color to #820503.



2. Open Alpha Bonnes Fêtes

Window>Duplicate or, on the keyboard, shift+D to make a copy.



Close the original.
The copy, that will be the basis of your work, is not empty,
but contains the selections saved to alpha channel.

3. Selections>Select All.
Open your background image "fond Noel" and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste into Selection.
Selections>Select None.

4. Layers>New Raster Layer - Raster 2.

5. Selections>Load/Save Selection>Load Selection from Alpha Channel.
The selection Noel is immediately available.
You just have to click Load.



6. Flood Fill the selection with your golden pattern.

7. Selections>Modify>Contract - 2 pixels.
Press CANC on the keyboard

8. Selections>Modify>Contract - 30 pixels.
Flood Fill the selection again with your golden pattern.

9. Selections>Modify>Contract - 2 pixels.
Press CANC on the keyboard.
Selections>Select none.

10. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, color black.



11. Layers>New Raster Layer - Raster 3.

Selections>Load/Save Selection>Load Selection from Alpha Channel.
Open the selections menu and load the selection Noel1.



12. Open your background image Fond Noel 1, and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste into Selection.

13. Effects>3D Effects>Buttonize, background color.



14. Selections>Modify>Contract - 20 pixels.
Press CANC on the keyboard.

15. Layers>New Raster Layer - Raster 4.
Open the tube deco fond Noel and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste into Selection.

16. Adjust>Sharpness>Sharpen More.
Selections>Select None.

17. Activate the layer below, Raster 3.
Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, color black.



18. Activate again your top layer.

Open the text Noel and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer - Raster 5.
Move the text to the left, as in my example.



19. Activate the layer Raster 1.
Open the tube Déco 1 and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer - Raster 6.
Don't move it.

20. Change the Blend Mode of this layer to Overlay.



21. Effects>Plugins>FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss, default settings.



22. Activate again your top layer.

Open the tube déco 2 and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer - Raster 7.

Image>Mirror>Mirror Horizontal.

23. To position the tube:
activate your Pick Tool
Position X: -21,00 - Position Y: 425,00.




24. Open the tube florju_espridenoel_elmt(42) and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer - Raster 8.

Image>Resize, to 60%, resize all layers not checked.

25. Pick Tool
Position X: 718,00 - Position Y: 178,00.




26. Open the tube florju_espritdenoel_elmt(43) and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer - Raster 9.

Image>Resize, to 52%, resize all layers not checked.

27. Pick Tool
Position X: 516,00 - Position Y: 236,00.




28. Layers>Merge>Merge Down.

29. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, color black.



30. Open the tube Déco Noel 3 and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer - Raster 9.

31. Pick Tool
Position X: 80,00 - Position Y: 35,00.




32. Open the tube dèco 4 and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer - Raster 10.

33. Pick Tool
Position X: 23,00 - Position Y: 42,00.




34. Open the text Bonnes fêtes (Word Feline31), and go to Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer - Raster 11.
Move the text as below.



Adjsut>Sharpness>Sharpen.

35. Image>Add Borders, 2 pixels, symmetric, color white.
Activate your Magic Wand Tool
and click in the border to select it.

Flood Fill the selection with your golden pattern.

36. Selections>Select All.

Image>Add Borders, 30 pixels, symmetric, color #820503.

37. Selections>Invert.
Effects>Texture Effects>Texture - select the texture Fronds, with these settings.



38. Again Selections>Invert.

Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, color black.



39. Again Selections>Invert.

Effects>Plugins>VanDerLee - Unplugged-X - Snow.



40. Selections>Select None.

41. Image>Add Borders, 2 pixels, symmetric, color white.
Select this border with your Magic Wand Tool
Flood Fill the selection with your golden pattern. Selections>Select None.

42. Image>Resize, 900 pixels width, resize all layers checked.

43. Sign your work and save as jpg.
