This tutorial was created with PSPX5 and translated with Corel X3, but it can also be made using other versions of PSP.
Since version PSP X4, Image>Mirror was replaced with Image>Flip Horizontal,
and Image>Flip with Image>Flip Vertical, there are some variables.
In versions X5 and X6, the functions have been improved by making available the Objects menu.
In the latest version X7 command Image>Mirror and Image>Flip returned, but with new differences.

You can change Blend Modes and opacity of the layer, according to your colors.



Copy the Gradient in the Gradient Folder.
Copy the mask in the Masks folder.


1. Set your foreground color to #002f69,
and your background color to #f76651.



2. Set your foreground color to Gradient, and select the gradient SuiGrad16, style Linear.



if you use other colors, the gradient will have the tones of your colors

3. Open a new transparent image 1000 x 700 pixels,
Flood Fill with your Gradient.

4. Layers>Duplicate.

Layers>Load/Save Mask>Load Mask from Disk.
Look for and load the mask Narah_mask_0171.jpg.



Layers>Merge>Merge Group.

don't worry if you don't see the result

6. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow.



7. Layers>Duplicate.
Layers>Merge>Merge down.

8. Selection Tool
(no matter the type of selection, because with the custom selection your always get a rectangle)
clic on the Custom Selection
and set the following settings.



9. Effects>Texture Effects>Weave, Weave color #f9ebdf.



Selections>Select None.

10. Layers>Duplicate.

11. K key to activate the Pick Tool
with PSP 9 D key to activate Deformation Tool
mode Scale ,
push the central node at the top



down to 520 pixels - on the bottom tool bar you can check the position

(if you don't see the rulers : View>Rulers)





en mode Perspective

push the left top node (the opposite note will move symetrically)



to the right until 330 pixels





12. Layers>Duplicate.
Image>Flip.

Layers>Merge>Merge Down.

13. Layers>New Raster Layer.

Custom Selection , same settings.



14. Open the tube "Imagen recortada" (dal tube VERLAINE A 151.pspimage) - Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste into Selection.
Change the opacity of this layer to 85%.

15. Selections>Modify>Select Selection Borders.



Flood Fill the selection with your gradient.

Selections>Select None.

16. Move the image to the left side.

(From version X5: Objects>Align>Left).



17. Effects>Geometric Effects>Perspective Horizontal.



Attention, please, if you are using an old version,
this Effects will doesn't get the same result of my lesson



With the old versions you'll get this



You can adapt the image with the Pick tool
mode Scale and push the central right node to the left



mode Perspective, push the top right node down



18. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, same settings.

19. Layers>Duplicate.
Image>Mirror.
Layers>Merge>Merge Down.

20. Open the tube Deco Sui.png - Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer.

21. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, same settings.

Layers>Merge>Merge Down.

22. Activate the layer Copy of Group Mask.



23. Open the landscape tube 4189-luzcristina.pspimage - Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer.

Move the tube down.
(From the version X5: Objects>Align>Bottom)



Change the Blend Mode of your layer to Luminance.

24. Change to Luminance also the second layer from the bottom.



25. Layers>Merge>Merge visible.

26. Open the tube VERLAINE A 151.pspimage - Edit>Copy.
Go back to your work and go to Edit>Paste as new layer.

Image>Resize, to 75%, resize all layers not checked.

Effects>Image Effects>Offset.



27. Effects>Plugins>Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact - Perspective Shadow.



28. Again Effetti>Plugins>Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact - Perspective Shadow.



If you want "to fit" the shadow, clic on the white arrow to activate the tool,
and use the nodes to fit the shadow to your tube.
(this will change the settings of Center Offset).



29. Effetti>Plugins>Nik Software - Color Efex Pro - Tonal Contrast, con i settaggi standard



30. Sign your work and save as jpg.
